Whether it's a long soak or a considered shower, Sophie Blowfield rounds up the six products that transform an everyday ritual into something genuinely luxurious - the ones worth building your evening around.
There's something to be said for turning your bath or shower into an actual event. Not a rushed rinse between meetings, not a functional wash before bed, but a proper ritual - the kind that leaves you feeling reset, soft, and slightly more yourself than you were before you started. Call it the "everything shower" or the "everything bath," but the principle is the same: slow down, use good products, and treat the process like it matters. Because it does.
I've become increasingly protective of this time in my routine. It's the moment I actually put my phone down, and the products I use during it need to earn their place. These six have become non-negotiables in my bath and shower ritual, whether I'm running a full soak or taking a considered ten-minute shower. In order of use, here's everything you need for the most aesthetic experience.
Oak Essentials Relaxation Bath Set

If you're going the bath route, this set from Oak Essentials is where the ritual begins. The magnesium-infused Dream Bath Soak calms the body and quiets the mind, while the Cloud Foaming Bath Oil transforms into the most luxurious foaming bubbles the moment it hits running water. What I love about this duo is the versatility - you can use them together or separately depending on the kind of soak you need. The lavender and chamomile notes create a genuinely spa-like atmosphere, and the formulas are considered enough that your skin feels hydrated rather than stripped by the time you step out.
SIDIA The Wash In MIDAS

The cleansing step is where SIDIA's MIDAS Wash comes in - and honestly, it's the product that started this whole aesthetic ritual obsession for me. The rich, lathering formula cleanses without stripping, infused with SIDIA's signature complex of avocado butter, shea butter, and plant-based retinol rambutan to help refine skin texture. But the real magic is the MIDAS scent: fig leaves, suede, sandalwood, and coconut water blending into something warm, sophisticated, and unlike anything else in the body wash category. It's the kind of product that makes you want to shower just to use it.
Cyklar Fragrance-Free Sensorial Body Wash

For days when I want to strip everything back and let my fragrance shine on its own - or when my skin needs something gentler - Cyklar's fragrance-free body wash is the perfect alternative. It's beautifully considered, with a sensorial formula that feels luxurious without any added scent. This is the wash I reach for when I'm layering MIDAS Body Mist afterwards, or when I want a completely neutral base. Having both options in the shower means you're never compromising - you can choose based on the mood or occasion.
Crown Affair The Towel

Once you're out, the ritual continues with hair care, and Crown Affair's The Towel has genuinely changed my post-shower routine. The custom waffle knit microfiber gently absorbs moisture without the friction and damage of a traditional terry towel, drying hair in a fraction of the time while protecting against breakage and frizz. The elastic band and considered shape mean it stays put while you continue the rest of your routine. It's the kind of upgrade you don't realise you needed until you have it.
The Skinny Confidential Mint Ice Roller

Post-shower is prime time for facial de-puffing, and the TSC Mint Ice Roller has become my favourite tool for the job. The compact aluminium design stays cold longer than any other roller I've used, and the dual-sided format - smooth for de-puffing, V-shaped for contouring the jawline and cheekbones - means it does double duty. Rolling up the face and down the neck for lymphatic drainage takes minutes but delivers that sculpted, refreshed, awake look that's genuinely visible. I keep mine in the bathroom fridge for maximum impact.
Agent Nateur Body (balm) Ageless Body Treatment Créme

The final step - and arguably the most luxurious - is Agent Nateur's cult body balm. This serum-balm hybrid melts into the skin, delivering 24-hour hydration while visibly smoothing texture and softening the appearance of fine lines. It's formulated with face-grade anti-aging active ingredients like IBR-TCLC®, PhytoSpherix™, and IBR-Chill™, which is unheard of in body care. The finish is that signature velvety, glistening glow that makes your skin look genuinely lit from within. Applied while skin is still slightly damp, it seals in everything you've just done and leaves you feeling properly cared for.
The truth about the aesthetic bath or shower ritual is that it's less about the specific products and more about the intention behind them. But when the products are this considered, this beautifully formulated and this pleasurable to use - the ritual takes care of itself. These six have earned permanent placement in my bathroom because they turn what could be a five-minute afterthought into the most restorative part of my day. Which is, after all, what an everything shower should be.
