Botox is one of the most misunderstood treatments in aesthetics. The biggest myth is that it freezes the face. In reality, good treatment preserves expression while reducing excessive muscle activity.
Another myth is that starting early is harmful. In fact, strategic use can prevent lines from becoming permanently etched into the skin.
Botox does not stretch the skin or make wrinkles worse when it wears off. Muscles simply return to their baseline activity.
The key to good results is dosing and placement. Botox is not about eliminating movement but balancing it. When patients say they do not want to look done, they are usually describing bad technique, not the treatment itself.
