The Deep Glow Investing in Your Future Self from Within

Working from the inside out is one of the truest investments we can make for our health. Over the last couple of years I have seen how incorporating infrared light into a routine is not just a trend but a proven way to help the body repair and rest.

Life moves at a record pace, and we are often left feeling remarkably empty at the end of every day. We look for shortcuts to feel better, but the real work of taking care of ourselves always happens from within. Over the last couple of years I discovered infrared saunas and infrared classes. I am always a bit sceptical when a new wellness habit takes over the conversation because nobody needs another empty trend on their checklist. But what drew me to this is that we finally have enough solid research to prove exactly how it works to repair the body.

When you step into an infrared sauna or take an infrared class, the light penetrates deep into your tissues to increase blood flow and circulation. This gentle heat acts like a cellular cleanup crew helping your body repair muscles and protect them from daily wear and tear. If you are someone like me who finds it difficult to sit still for very long, an infrared class is the perfect way to get these benefits while keeping your body in motion. It is also a highly effective tool for detoxification. Whether you are dealing with the sluggishness of jet lag after a long flight or trying to bounce back after a night out, the deep sweat helps clear out stagnation so you can quickly restart your system when you feel bloated or run down.

Specifically for women, the reasons to step into this light are incredibly practical. As we navigate the busy transitions of our thirties and forties, our hormones can fluctuate, and our internal thermostat can feel completely unbalanced. The deep penetrating heat helps the body regulate temperature more easily while lowering cortisol levels. This creates a deep sense of relaxation that signals to your nervous system that it is safe to settle down and truly recover.

Incorporating infrared saunas or classes two to three times per week into your routine is a fantastic baseline to see real changes. By picking up this habit consistently, you are actively banking on your cardiovascular health and cognitive clarity for the future. You are training your heart to stay efficient and resilient, which is one of the most important things we can do for our longevity. It is a short, simple choice to prioritise your internal environment so you can always show up as your full self.
